Ingredients :
- Boneless Mutton - 500gm,
- Green chillies - 6 sliced,
- Garlic - 5 cloves, chopped,
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp,
- Green Cardamoms - 3,
- Cinnamon - 1 inch,
- Salt - To Taste,
- Coconut Oil - 2 tsp,
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp,
- Curry leaves - 8 to 10,
- Ginger - 1 inch, thin slices,
- Onion - 2, finely chopped,
- Black peppercorns - Crushed to taste,
- Cumin powder - 1tsp,
- Red Chilli powder - 1tsp,
- Coriander powder - 1tsp,
- Lemon juice - 2 tsp,
- Coconut - 2 tsp, 1/2 inch size cut,
- Water - 4 cups,
- Coriander leaves - Few, chopped.
Method :
To begin making this recipe, wash mutton pieces well & marinate it with cumin, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice & keep it aside for 2 hours.
Heat a pressure cooker, add marinated mutton, garlic 1tsp, cardamoms, cinnamon & water. Mix well, cover & cook under pressure for 3-4 whistles. Open the lid when the pressure has reduced completely & strain the mutton. Discard the cinnamon & cardamoms & reserve the cookinv liquor.
Take a pan , heat coconut oil , add mustard seeds & let them splutter. Add ginger, green chillies & curry leaves & saute them till fragrant. Add onions & saute them till the onions turn golden.
Add marinated mutton & mix well. Add crushed peppercorns, salt & coconut pieces & mix well. Add 4 tsp of cooking liquor & mix well. Cook for 5 mins.
Transfer into a serving bowl garnish with coriander leaves & serve hot.
